This morning we collected our hire car (a boring silver Camry), bade farwell to Las Vegas and headed west throught the desert on I-15 towards Los Angeles. Breaking the boredom was the world's largest thermometer at Baker standing 40 metres (134 feet) tall and interesting signs (how does one pronounce Zzyzx?!).
Overall it was an easy 5 hour drive including roadworks, a lunch stop, a traffic jam thanks to an accident and getting a little lost on the LA freeways. Bless the satellite navigation!

"a boring silver camry" - get over yourself Ben. I don't even own a car. I'd love to drive a "boring silver camry"
