Fremont Street Experience

After a quick freshen up (nap) we headed into downtown Las Vegas to Fremont Street, an area known as the "Glitter Gulch". The Glitter Gulch is home to old Las Vegas and is commonly used in TV and film for it's large number of neon lights.

5 blocks of Fremont Street have been closed off for a pedestrian mall with 4 blocks covered by a 460 metre (1500 foot) barrell vault canopy to form the Fremont Street Experience Light and Sound Show. More than 12.5 million LED modules illuminate the overhead canopy together with 220 x 550,000 watt speakers to create an amazing display called "Viva Vision!".
