Workin The Strip

Getting into the Vegas mood, today we explored more of the monster casinos along The Strip. These muthas are huge! Designed to keep guests in one place, most have at least one gimicky attraction, ginormous gaming rooms, and massive shopping malls. Once you enter, finding your way out again can prove quite a challenge.

We managed to get in, and out of, The Venetian (indoor canal, gondalas etc) and Caesars Palace and Forum before looking for somewhere to eat. The lure of a free beverage had us eating at Hawaiian Tropic at the Planet Hollywood Hotel where we couldn't resist the need to taste a "chicken lollipop".

Refueled we walked to The Bellagio in time to catch the spectacular water fountain display. Inside the very posh looby was an impressive Halloween display made from flowers, pumpkins, anamatronic trees....(did I say gimick?). I needed to go to the ATM for some cash. The ATM here had a minimum withdrawl of $100 up to a maximum of $3000, all in $100 bills! Unfortunately my budget only allowed for a $200 withdrawl, its back to the pokies for me.

As we were running out of clean clothes (we will wash in LA, ok!), we headed back Caesars Forum for a bit of shopping before heading back to the hotel. Feeling a bit thirsty, we grabbed a yard (plastic) glass frozen cocktail for the long road home. Now we look like true tourists!
