Rent

After a huge day of sightseeing we dragged our weary bones to another show, tonight it was Rent.

Rent is above friendship and love and tackles the difficult topics of drug addiction and AIDS. We were lucky to see two of the original lead cast members from 1996, who had returned for a short time. A very powerful and moving show, especially in our fragile state.

We somehow found the energy to head down to 34th Street and the Empire State Building to take in the New York skyline from 86th floor above the street (you can go to the 102nd floor but we'll do that tomorrow). Amazing views, the photos don't do it justice.

Time to sleep now!!
