Another glorious day in New York (around 26-27 degrees, sunny and clear) as we head downtown into the financial and business district of Manhattan.
First up, Ground Zero (six years on it's now a construction site but there's still something emotional and eerie here), Battery Park (views of ol' Lady Liberty again), NYPD Museum, Brooklyn Bridge, Wall Street & the New York Stock Exchange (or Wall Lane as I saw it - barely fit two cars across the width of the street, but they have a BMW Dealership!).
A quick subway ride to Greenwich Village including Washington Square (great for people watching) before walking up to Union Square and the Flatiron Building. Another subway ride up to 72nd Street to The Dakota Apartments (where John Lennon lived, and unfortunately, was shot). Just across the road in Central Park is an area called Strawberry Fields dedicated to Lennon (for you Mum).
A very big day, we're gonna sleep well tonight, but first another show!! (and maybe a quick visit to the Empire State Building!!)
